Redesigning Phoebe Brigers Website

For a class in Visual and Interaction Design, I was tasked with the job to redesign a landing page for a celebrity, and I chose to do one for Phoebe Bridgers.

Designing the Logo

As a part of the assignment, we had to design a logo for the website. Using my knowledge of the artist, I designed what I thought could be two potential interesting logos for the website. I shared these designs with a few friends, and they liked the one on the right the most. I decided to get rid of the face part of the logo and just stick with the name. I then used an art program called Procreate on my iPad to create the logo.

Choosing Colors + Moodboard

After creating the logo, I decided on a color palette based off of a mood board of images from different music videos, cover art, and interviews with Phoebe Bridgers.

Fonts + Final Touches

The last step in the process of redesigning the landing page was choosing the font. Above you can see three ideas for fonts I was deciding between for the landing page. I decided on going with option 3. Additionally, I edited some photos of Phoebe with people from different projects she's been a part of. I made their hair white and put black over their eyes to anonymize them. I felt that it made the pictures fit more with the aesthetic of the landing page and also kind of mirrored artwork on the cover art from her first album, "Stranger in the Alps."
