Rechords
A Breakdown of the Design Process Behind Rechords
Needfinding
My team conducted four interviews with either people who journaled a lot or experts who knew a lot about memory keeping. We then conducted empathy maps in order to find out what we wanted to focus our prototype on. You can find the results from these interviews and empathy maps here.
POVs and Experience Prototypes
After creating an initial POV for one of our users from our needfinding process, we interviewed three more people and developed three more POVs from each of these interviewees. From these POVs, we developed three solutions and prototypes for each of those solutions. We tested them out and based off of our results, we decided on one of those prototypes. You can read the report here and look at the slides from our presentation of the results here.

Low Fidelity Prototype
Next, we created a series of sketches of different ways we imagined make our solution into a reality. After finalizing on an idea, we created some wireflows for the app. We made these wireflows into a paper prototype and tested it out on three participants. You can read more about our results and feedback from participants here as well as look at the slides that contains similar information here.
Medium Fidelity Prototype
Based off our results from testing the low-fidelity prototype, we created a digital prototype using Figma and Invision. The focus of these prototypes were less on design and more on testing a newer version of our wireflow and getting the affordances for our prototype correct. Our prototype was tested out on other people in our class here. You can check out our results from testing the prototype here and the slides presenting the information about our methods here. Additionally, you can test out the medium-fi prototype here using our ReadMe instructions here.

High Fidelity Prototype
Finally, using the results from our last test, we made some design changes and proceed to code and design our final prototype of the app. You can check out the updated ReadMe instructions for the prototype here along with our presentation slides here. Additionally, you can read our final report here and you can download the code for the app here.
